IMMEDIATE CHANGE

  • Make work pay by implementing the New Deal for Working People in full, insourcing public services to protect jobs and enhance conditions, reversing the years and public sector pay stagnation, and tackling exploitation in the gig economy with a single worker status scheme.

  • Recognise the genocide in Gaza and take all necessary steps to urgently fulfil our obligations under international law, support the rebuilding efforts and introduce sanctions on illegal settlements.

  • Deliver justice for the women born in the 1950s by giving fair and fast compensation in line with the Ombudsman’s recommendations.

  • Stand up for British values by dropping proposals to curtail jury trials, lift restrictions on the right to protest and stop retrospective changes to indefinite leave to remain.

  • Introduce emergency measures to keep down energy bills through an essential energy guarantee for all households, a nationwide social tariff, targeted support for business and an extended windfall tax on the energy sector.

FOR THIS PARLIAMENT

  • Deliver the council housing revolution we promised. Fund local authorities to acquire and build enough genuinely affordable council houses to halve waiting lists by 2029.

  • Reform our tax system from top to bottom. Replace council tax with progressive property taxation, remove unfair cliff-edges and tax hoarded wealth to make our economy fairer.

  • Bring our water system back into public ownership to end the privatisation pollution rip-off. Fix our broken public services.

  • Reverse the cuts to local government so that every council can finally sort out unsafe roads, take control of empty properties, clean up litter and deliver for their communities.

  • No community left behind. Help every high street by shifting taxation from retail and hospitality onto online sales giants and introduce a green jobs guarantee for all long-term unemployed citizens.

FOR THE NEXT MANIFESTO

  • Rewire the economy. Use every economic lever to secure; national security and self-sufficient in food, energy and medicine, public ownership of the essential utilities we all use and increased investment in critical national infrastructure including public transport, water, telecoms and nature.

  • Dignity for all regardless of income. Complete the creation of a National Care Service free at the point of use, like the NHS within the year of the next Parliament.

  • End rip-off tuition fees and endless repayments for graduates and replace them with a fairer contribution from big businesses towards sustainable university and apprenticeship funding.

  • Replace poverty with hope. Recalibrate the welfare state to ensure it provides the essentials for daily living to all those in need, controls rents, improves public transport and introduces a legal right to food.

  • Bring tech giants to heel. Properly tax and regulate AI and social media corporations with proper protections for children, workers and our creative industries.
